Melissa has excelled in the hospitality Industry for the past 25 years, having worked at prestigious properties such as Fearrington House Inn and Sea Island prior to being named Director of Sales at Old Edwards Inn and Spa in 2009. She has been the driving force in shaping the many venues of Old Edwards into the award-wining destination it is today.

Shayna Bigazzi

Associate Director of Sales and Events
Originally from St. Lazare, Quebec, Canada, Shayna's travel bug led her to several countries, including Greece where she met her husband. While living in the Caribbean, Shayna was instrumental in the launch of Martha Stewart's Beaches Sandals Weddings. The publishing giant's partnership with Luxury Resorts in Jamaica and Turks and Caicos. Eventually, Shayna and her husband moved with their two island pups to the United States, where she brought her extensive wedding and event planning experience to Old Edwards in 2013.

Vicki DeLucia

Assistant Sales Director
Vicki grew up in Ohio and fell in love with the hospitality industry at a young age. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Event Planning/Tourism Specialization. Her three internships focused on gaining experience within the industry. After graduation, Vicki became the event coordinator for a winery on Lake Erie. Vicki brought her skill and passion to Old Edwards in 2013.

Leslie Hollaway

Sales Manager

Leslie is joining Old Edwards Inn as a Sales Manager with over 15 years of event and meeting planning experience.  She has planned events in social, corporate, and academic settings, and finds the use of creativity and operational skills very gratifying. Originally from Winter Park, FL, Leslie received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University--making her a true Tallahassee Lassie and a big fan of the ACC.  She enjoys throwing themed parties, cooking and creating new recipes, as well as her lifelong hobby of sewing.

Senior Sales Manager
Originally from Ormond Beach, Florida, Jessica graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management and Marketing. To gain experience from a leader in hospitality, Jessica entered an internship at Old Edwards in 2012. Jessica found Highlands and Old Edwards the perfect life for her. After graduating in 2013, she moved to Highlands and began her hospitality career at Old Edwards.

Ashley Brabenec

Senior Sales Manager
A local resident, Ashley grew up in Cashiers, and attended Western Carolina University where she majored in Business Administration and Law. In 2010, her career led her to Houston, Texas where she was an event planner for a successful energy hedge fund. After four years in the big city of Houston, the mountains called her home and she joined the Sales Team at Old Edwards Inn and Spa. Ashley not only brings event planning experience to Old Edwards, but also a deep, intimate knowledge of the area. This familiarity is a crucial asset when planning an event here. Ashley enjoys the daily outdoor recreation that Western North Carolina has to offer, spending time with friends and family and her two dogs, Opie and Nugget.

Sales Manager
Addison was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where she grew up drinking Coca- Cola's and cheering on the Dawgs. Those cheers quickly changed after moving to Tuscaloosa to attend the University of Alabama. In May of 2014, she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Addison's past work experience included a public relations and marketing internship at The Bascom Art Gallery in Highlands, NC (2013). She then expanded her knowledge in communication and became a contributing writer and editor for Platform Magazine in Tuscaloosa, AL (2014). Addison began her career at Old Edwards Inn and Spa just a month after graduation and has enjoyed every minute.

Monika grew up in Gdansk, Poland and moved to United States where she attended Florida International University and earned a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management. Monika has excelled in the hospitality industry for the past 20 years as a Director of Catering with Marriott Hotels and Resorts throughout the southeastern United States. She brought her extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry to Old Edwards Inn and Spa in 2016. Monika enjoys traveling and spending time with the love of her life and their beautiful daughter, Julia.

Kendra Pressley

Sales Manager

Kendra joined the Old Edwards team in 2016 as a Sales Associate before becoming a Sales Manager.  Kendra was born and raised in Cashiers before attending East Carolina University, where she received her bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management with a concentration in Hotels & Lodging and a minor in Business Administration.  Kendra brings more than 12 years of hospitality experience from a variety of positions at country clubs, Pinehurst Resort and her role as an Assistant General Manager at The Hampton Inn in Temple, TX. Once her husband retired from the Army, she welcomed the chance to move back to their hometown with their two daughters, Madeline and Amelia and begin her career at Old Edwards.

Chandler Smith

Sales Associate

Chandler was born in Georgetown, SC but moved to Rabun, GA at a young age. She joined Old Edwards Inn fresh out of high school in 2012 and worked in many areas including the Front Desk, Reservations, and Spa. After three years, she fell in love with the Front Office Manager, got married, packed her bags, and moved to Seattle. There, she enjoyed backpacking the Olympic Mountains, kayaking Puget Sound, and working as a Front Desk Agent and Auditor at the prestigious Fairmont Olympic Hotel. One year later, family called and Chandler and her husband made their way back to the east coast to Charleston, SC where she became the Evening Hotel Manager at the Planters Inn; South Carolina's only Relais & Chateaux property. In April 2018, the fresh mountain air drew them back to Highlands, NC where she fell into her dream of working in event sales back to the Old Edwards family.

Kyle is a native of Savannah Georgia, where his family has been welcoming guests for generations and were instrumental in building the Hospitality Industry. In 2017, after working for more than a decade at some of the premier properties in the Low Country, he decided to bring his life-long passion of service to his beloved Highlands and Old Edwards Inn and Spa.

Sales Manager

Sarah originally from Dublin, Georgia moved with her family to the Northeast Georgia Mountains in high school. After graduating high school, Sarah attended the University of North Georgia where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Marketing. After graduation, Sarah found herself in the hospitality industry at The Dillard House and was quickly promoted to Sales Manager. After 4 years, Sarah made the move to Old Edwards Inn & Spa and has loved every minute since!

Amanda Wasco

Assistant Reservations Manager

Amanda, originally from Florida, spent her early years vacationing to Highlands and has always considered it home. While studying Hospitality Management at Florida State, Amanda completed an internship at the Spa. After graduating, she joined the Spa team at Old Edwards full time, and quickly became the Spa Sales Coordinator. A few years later, Amanda graduated from the Manager in Training program, where she fell in love with Front Desk Operations. Amanda is currently the Assistant Reservations and Revenue Manager. When given the opportunity to work with the Spa and our wonderful brides once again, she was delighted!

Laura Wilkie

Group Reservations Supervisor

Laura has a variety of talents within her skill set.  This is, in part, due to studying a wide range of subjects-including travel & tourism and merchandising-before earning her degree in criminal justice.  After moving back to Franklin with her family, Laura joined Old Edwards as a front desk agent.  Her attention to detail made her a perfect candidate for the reservations department, which she helped establish in 2005.  Laura has since branched out into helping with events and has earned the title of Group Reservations Supervisor.  As such, she likes to put all of her efforts into making sure that every facet of an event's reservation process is taken into account, so that hosts (and their guests!) can relax and enjoy their experience at Old Edwards.
