Melissa has excelled in the hospitality industry for the past 26 years, having worked at prestigious properties such as Fearrington House Inn and Sea Island prior to being named Director of Sales at Old Edwards Inn and Spa in 2009. She has been the driving force in shaping the many venues of Old Edwards into the award-wining destinations they are today.

Vicki grew up in Ohio and fell in love with the hospitality industry at a young age. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Event Planning/Tourism Specialization. Her three internships focused on gaining experience within the industry. After graduation, Vicki became the event coordinator for a winery on Lake Erie. Vicki brought her skill and passion to Old Edwards in 2013.

Senior Sales Manager

A local resident, Ashley grew up in Cashiers, and attended Western Carolina University where she majored in Business Administration and Law. In 2010, her career led her to Houston, Texas where she was an event planner/executive assistant for a successful energy hedge fund. After four years in the big city of Houston, the mountains called her home and she joined the Sales Team at Old Edwards Inn and Spa. Ashley not only brings event planning experience to Old Edwards, but also a deep, intimate knowledge of the area. This familiarity is a crucial asset when planning an event here. Ashley enjoys the summer trips to Montana, hanging out with friends, and quality time with her husband and daughter.

Originally from Ormond Beach, Florida, Jessica graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management and Marketing. To gain experience from a leader in hospitality, Jessica entered an internship at Old Edwards in 2012. Jessica found Highlands and Old Edwards the perfect life for her. After graduating in 2013, she moved to Highlands and began her hospitality career at Old Edwards.
Kendra Pressley

Senior Sales Manager
Kendra joined the Old Edwards team in 2016 as a Sales Associate before becoming a Sales Manager.  Kendra was born and raised in Cashiers before attending East Carolina University, where she received her bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management with a concentration in Hotels & Lodging and a minor in Business Administration.  Kendra brings more than 12 years of hospitality experience from a variety of positions at country clubs, Pinehurst Resort and her role as an Assistant General Manager at The Hampton Inn in Temple, TX. Once her husband retired from the Army, she welcomed the chance to move back to their hometown with their two daughters, Madeline and Amelia and begin her career at Old Edwards.

Sarah originally from Dublin, Georgia moved with her family to the Northeast Georgia Mountains in high school. After graduating high school, Sarah attended the University of North Georgia where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Marketing. After graduation, Sarah found herself in the hospitality industry at The Dillard House and was quickly promoted to Sales Manager. After 4 years, Sarah made the move to Old Edwards Inn & Spa and has loved every minute since!

Leslie is joining Old Edwards Inn as a Sales Manager with over 15 years of event and meeting planning experience.  She has planned events in social, corporate, and academic settings, and finds the use of creativity and operational skills very gratifying. Originally from Winter Park, FL, Leslie received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University--making her a true Tallahassee Lassie and a big fan of the ACC.  She enjoys throwing themed parties, cooking and creating new recipes, as well as her lifelong hobby of sewing.

Kyle is a native of Savannah Georgia, where his family has been welcoming guests for generations and were instrumental in building the Hospitality Industry. In 2017, after working for more than a decade at some of the premier properties in the Low Country, he decided to bring his life-long passion of service to his beloved Highlands and Old Edwards Inn and Spa.

Elise is originally from the great state of New Jersey, but came to Old Edwards Inn and Spa after graduating from Florida State University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.  Elise's professional background has always been in hospitality and more specifically in events, so heading back to that field of work after graduation was an easy transition! She was accepted into the Manager in Training Certification Course earlier in her career where she quickly moved up in the banquet department into the role of Banquet Captain. During that time she was introduced to the Sales Department and after four years of working event operations, she was promoted to Sales Manager. She and her dog, Flynn, love exploring the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and couldn't be happier to call them and Old Edwards home!

Jazmon Zaroven

Sales Manager

Jazmon has over 30 years experience in the wedding and event industry.  She is a graduate of the prestigious Parson's School of Design in New York City.  Her degree is in Fashion Design and she has worked with Bergdorf Goodman bridal, Henry Bendel Fifth Avenue and  Badgley & Mischka, as well as being featured on the front cover of the New York Times fashion section. She started her own business in custom design bridal and evening wear at the age of 22.  She is even a licensed and talented floral designer! Most recently, she has been working with wedding and special events planning in Atlanta and Big Canoe. Having lived across the state and traveled the world--both for business and for pleasure--Jazmon has relocated to Highlands, N.C. She is seeking that quality of life in the mountains that is reminiscent of the small country villages of France and England.  Living simply, simply living.  The easy elegance of the Highlands and graciousness of Old Edwards Inn & Spa, along with the charm and richness of fine dining and culture are the main attractions that drew Jazmon to live here and to want share this remarkable destination with others. As a Sales Manager, she looks forward to creating memorable experiences for all of our guests.

As a native of Lexington, Kentucky, Elizabeth has been visiting Highlands since childhood. With interest in special events at a young age, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina where she obtained her Event & Hospitality Management degree from the Culinary Institute of Charleston. After eight years of working as a banquet captain and for leading event planners, she decided to broaden her horizons and move to South Florida to work in the yachting industry. Wanting to move back to land and be closer to her family, Elizabeth became our newest team member in July 2019. In her off-time, Elizabeth enjoys golfing, horseback riding, gardening, and studying for her Sommelier II exam.

Amanda Wasco

Assistant Reservations Manager

Amanda, originally from Florida, spent her early years vacationing to Highlands and has always considered it home. While studying Hospitality Management at Florida State, Amanda completed an internship at the Spa. After graduating, she joined the Spa team at Old Edwards full time, and quickly became the Spa Sales Coordinator. A few years later, Amanda graduated from the Manager in Training program, where she fell in love with Front Desk Operations. Amanda is currently the Assistant Reservations and Revenue Manager. When given the opportunity to work with the Spa and our wonderful brides once again, she was delighted!

Laura has a variety of talents within her skill set.  This is, in part, due to studying a wide range of subjects-including travel & tourism and merchandising-before earning her degree in criminal justice.  After moving back to Franklin with her family, Laura joined Old Edwards as a front desk agent.  Her attention to detail made her a perfect candidate for the reservations department, which she helped establish in 2005.  Laura has since branched out into helping with events and has earned the title of Group Reservations Supervisor.  As such, she likes to put all of her efforts into making sure that every facet of an event's reservation process is taken into account, so that hosts (and their guests!) can relax and enjoy their experience at Old Edwards.
