Wonderful Christmas Stay

Spent three nights in a two bedroom at the lodge. Service was excellent. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean and the linens are so nice. The family enjoyed the grounds and food at Madison's. The hotel has a real class feel. You can walk to the shops on Main Street for a little diversion when not relaxing. Had some nice rocking chairs on porch. This is a great place to rest or for a special occasion. Wonderful stay by all in the family

Old World charm and outstanding service

We recently stayed at the famous Inn in Asheville (see my review). The Old Edwards Inn is far more charming - with a combination of historic building and modern buildings spread across a campus-like property. The Hummingbird lounge, with dark, wood panelling, feels like an old European meeting room - with waitstaff easily available to take drink or snack orders. Be advised that rooms in the old building are small, but updated interiors - again similar to most European hotels - however, they convey a coziness not found in modern hotels. The more modern rooms are more spacious - scattered about the campus of low rise buildings and cottages - still have a degree of coziness. Different that the famous Inn in Asheville, the staff are focused on guest satisfaction. The best part is that the Old Edwards Inn prices are about half of the other place. If you're going to the mountains, go beyond Asheville to Highlands for a great experience

Relax, chill, get away from it all...

This elegant ole hotel in downtown Highlands, south of Asheville, NC, has it all if your purpose is to get away from it all and recharge. Settled on Main Street, there are tons of shops and restaurants to visit along with the must-visit Mountain Fresh (started as a grocery story and morphed into everything including pizza, breakfast, bar and much much more). Hotel has Madison's, an exquisite restaurant, Hummingbird's, an evening bar, and a spa for everything spa like. Spa doesn't allow computers, cell phones, etc. Don't worry though. I got over it after an hour or so. Great find

Off The Charts!!!

What an awesome hotel! From the Bellman, to Valet, to Front Desk to the Bartender, happy, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is spotless and so are the rooms. The decor is gorgeous, the rooms are so homey. The bathrooms are very large and the floors are heated. Sales staff is also off the charts, so friendly and ready to help. I look forward to our event in June

Perfect Anniversary stay

We travelled to Highlands on a spur of the moment anniversary trip. We were surprised to find a vacancy at the Lodge at Old Edwards Inn. We were not accustomed to this kind of stay. What a pleasant stay it was! The staff and service was exceptional. This was a trip we will always treasure. The room was clean and furnished with detail. The heated floor in the bath was most welcome. Expensive, but worth it
