Old Edwards Inn and Spa in Highlands, NC, has purchased the historic Hutchinson House located in downtown Highlands, NC. Built in 1878 by C.C. Hutchinson—one of Highlands’ founders—the four-bedroom Hutchinson House was the second residence built in the mountain town. The graceful farmhouse was completely refurbished in 2002 to preserve the historical integrity while incorporating modern conveniences like an upscale kitchen, larger bedrooms and additional bathrooms. Old Edwards completed the purchase of the property in December 2012. |
