Old Edwards Inn and Spa will introduce a new menu of beers beginning in April that will highlight local breweries in North Carolina. These North Carolina local beers will be available at all Old Edwards dining venues including the farm-to-table Madison’s Restaurant, the alfresco Wine Garden, Rooftop Terrace, Spa Cafe and the new Art’s at the Lodge Coffee Café and Bar opening in May, 2013.
North Carolina has truly become the Southern Beer State, with Asheville being named “Beer City USA” four years in a row. There are currently over 60 microbreweries spread across the state, and that number is rising. Old Edwards Inn and Spa will feature several of these beers from breweries spanning the mountains to the coast.
Beers chosen include Dale’s Pale Ale, Highland Brewing Company Gaelic Ale, Mother Earth Brewing Endless River Kolsch, Big Boss High Roller American IPA and LoneRider Sweet Josie Brown, among others.
