(Highlands, NC) Old Edwards Inn & Spa and Dale Stewart are teaming up to present Adaptive Mind: For Women on the Leading Edge September 27 – 29. Dale Stewart, Author of Survivability to be released in 2010, is a global consultant for 25 years, training government and corporate agencies how to survive in a fluctuating environment—global and corporate—by employing practices of critical and adaptive thinking. The Adaptive Mind workshop is the first out of a series that he will be providing for guests of the Old Edwards Inn and Spa this fall and winter.

(Highlands, NC) Old Edwards Inn and Spa will host the Par-5K event September 11, 2010 from 8 am to 11 am. The race will be held on the front nine holes of the golf course totaling 3.1 miles. The top three males and females in various age groups will be awarded medals for their participation. The entry fee before August 31 is $30 and after will be $35. Each participant receives a t-shirt and the pancake breakfast. Proceeds will benefit the Highlands Literacy Council.

(Highlands, NC) Old Edwards Inn and Spa will host the Gala of the Arts August 26 through September 2. This is a huge exhibition and art sale from Ann Jacob’s four galleries in Palm Beach, Florida, New York City, Atlanta, Georgia and Highlands, North Carolina. Over 800 original oils, lithographs, watercolors, silkscreens and rare engravings will be offered for viewing and sale.
