February, 2008 (Highlands, N.C.) – After 13 years with Salty Dog, Brad Vroom is getting back to his acoustic roots at Rib Shack, the best place for Southern barbeque in North Carolina.
Starting February 22, Vroom will sing and play acoustic guitar every Friday and Saturday night from 7 to 10 pm at Rib Shack in Highlands, N.C. In his rotation are favorites from Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison and more.
Brad has had a long musical career which began playing in clubs around Atlanta. In 1993, he moved to Destin, Fla. and formed the band Salty Dog. Salty Dog gained a reputation as one of the premier bands on the Gulf Coast, opening for Edwin McCain, America, Little River Band, and performing an eleven year "gig" at Sandestin Resort. After 4 CD's and a 13-year run, Brad retired from Salty Dog and is ready to start offering his unique sound to patrons of Rib Shack.
