OLD EDWARDS INN AND SPA ANNOUNCES CUPID’S TREAT PACKAGE
AND SPECIAL ROMANTIC DINING DURING MONTH OF FEBRUARY

HIGHLANDS, NC- Old Edwards Hospitality Group is pleased to announce Cupid’s Treat, a special Valentine’s package offered February 1-28, 2007, and a special menu for Valentine’s dining in Madison’s.

Escape to the North Carolina Mountains and let Cupid be your guide for a romantic and luxurious getaway at Old Edwards Inn and Spa or The Lodge. Presenting guests with the opportunity to relax and reconnect in romantic luxury, with time in The Spa, divine dining and romantic touches like rose covered table tops in Madison’s and a rose-petal turndown one evening, Old Edwards offers sweethearts a treasured getaway. Additional spa packages, winter Spa treatments and Romance Packages are also available. Dinner and Spa reservations should be booked when booking packages.

Cupid’s Treat package includes:
Two nights’ deluxe accommodations for two at the Inn or The Lodge
Champagne arrival and welcome amenity
Rose petal turndown on night of arrival
Gourmet Continental breakfast each morning
Butler’s Pantry with snacks, fresh fruit and non-alcoholic beverages

MADISON’S VALENTINE’S DINNER
Chef de Cuisine Chris Huerta and his talented culinary team have created an exquisite four-course dinner menu to tempt and tantalize the romantic at heart. The menu will be offered February 9-17, 2007 along with Madison’s regular menu, and will be served exclusively on the evening of February 14th. It features a choice for each course and includes:


First Course
Blue Point oysters on the rocks with lemongrass froth and Georgia caviar
Trio of beet carpaccio with white asparagus salad and horseradish snow
House smoked salmon terrine with citrus gelee, micro mint and watercress salad, vanilla crème fraîche

Second Course
Sea scallops poached in beet fondue with Jerusalem artichokes
Cauliflower soup with rosemary and thyme foccacia with crispy cauliflower and onion spread
Pecan dusted quail with sautéed Swiss chard, date chutney

Main Course
Brown butter basted Painted Hills organic filet of beef with Potato Crisp, Sour Cherry Ragout
and Smoked Chocolate Sauce
Guinea hen crepinettes with slow roasted turnips, braised kale
Hand-cut truffled pasta spring mushrooms, parsley sage

Desserts
Blood orange bombe, with bittersweet chocolate glace, rose hip jus and candy rose petals
Tangerine and raspberry parfait with fresh raspberry syrup, tangerine cloud, verbena panna cotta
Almond-meringue dusted passion fruit mousse with kumquat pound cake, candied kumquats

$75.00, per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity
Reservations requested ~ offered 5:30pm~9:00pm
This menu will be served exclusively on Valentine's Day.
Madison's regular menu is also available February 9~13 and 15 ~17.
