March 31, 2006 - Old Edwards Inn and Spa Announces Caymus / Wagner Family Wine Dinner at the Farm, Thursday, June 15, 2006

HIGHLANDS , NC-The Old Edwards Hospitality Group is pleased to announce a very special event in June. Caymus Vineyards/Wagner Family Wines will present a winemaker dinner at The Farm on Thursday evening, June 15, 2006. Reception is at 6:00 PM and dinner will begin at 6:30.

Old Edwards Executive Chef Nate Waugaman will prepare a savory multi-course dinner to pair with Caymus’ exclusive portfolio of premium wines. Courses will be matched with releases from the Wagner Family portfolio of wines including Caymus Conundrum. Mer Soleil Chardonnay and LATE (a late harvest wine), Belle Glos Pinot Noir and Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Caymus Vineyards was founded in 1972 by Charles F. (Charlie) Wagner on the family's Rutherford property in the heart of Napa Valley. The Wagners produced their first Cabernet Sauvignon from the 1972 vintage. Their first Special Selection - from outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon lots given extended barrel aging - was made from the 1975 vintage. Caymus has made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon every year since its founding, and now focuses entirely on this varietal. Low production helps to ensure the most excellent quality in every vintage. Michael La Granges, Caymus/Wagner Family’s key account manager for the Southeast will be in attendance to lead the evening, talk about wines and comment on food and wine pairings.

The dinner is $149 per person, inclusive. Seating is limited. Overnight accommodations at The Inn or Lodge are available at a special rate of $185, plus tax for this event.
