In Highlands, we are truly blessed to have four perfect seasons.

Springtime is beautiful--the native rhododendron blankets the mountainsides and forests in vibrant pink. Days are warmed by the sun and evenings are chilly enough for a fire.

In the summertime, the cool mountain breezes refresh and keep temperatures comfortable. Even during the hottest months of the year, you’ll often need a jacket when strolling through town in the evening.

All the seasons are spectacular here, but fall is simply breathtaking. The mountains are awash in fiery color, the smell of wood smoke on the air tells of winter approaching.

Mountain winters have a wonderful magic. The mantel of snowfall instills a certain quiet on the mountain in winter, making Highlands the perfect place to escape the everyday.
