Our Life in Balance. We know it when we feel it, that state of being connected to everything in life—just happy for seemingly no reason.  Thoughts and emotions neither fly too high nor plunge too low. Challenges come along, flow and go—you deal with them in a practical manner and keep moving on. Sleep comes easily, is buoyantly dream-filled and rejuvenating. You’re in the Zone.

Our State of Discontent. Most often we don’t see it coming. There’s no clear catalyst, no particular crisis or event. Sometimes nothing even seems particularly wrong with your life. But somehow it just doesn’t feel right. And neither do you. You feel disconnected. Things and people that you normally enjoy now irritate you or feel like duties or obstacles. Your happiness seems situational and can come and go, even within the
same day or hour. Your peaceful state as a fulfilled person has somehow gotten scattered into a million pieces that you just can’t get together again. Struggling to do so just makes you feel even more powerless.  We can all relate to this state. But what do we do about it?

Where Did “I” Go? Where is the “you” that flows peacefully along with the rhythm and the people of your life, seeing everything as beautiful and connected? The cool, collected person that could walk into any room, any interaction, and welcome whatever comes, knowing that you will sail through it and come out in the same lighthearted state—and leave everyone else feeling good just from being around you?

Life is about Rhythms. In nature, cycles of life ebb and flow, grow and wither, wax and wane, are born and die. And yet nature sits in blissful balance, participating in—but not getting stuck in—the perpetual and inevitable flow of life. Because human beings are nature, we are designed to live and flow with those same rhythms. But we humans—in infinite and often “unconscious” ways—resist the flow, fall out of step and lose our balance. Instead of sitting in the blissful center of connectedness and flow, we find ourselves getting stuck in our story—in our self-made maze of thoughts, emotions, scenarios and activities. We feel lost.

Be a Willow. Like swaying limbs on a tree, we can learn to flex and flow with life while maintaining a solid and balanced foundation—and not getting blown off course by any of it. And once we learn how to flow—to not get stuck in any thoughts, emotions, scenarios or patterns—we can make living “in the zone” automatic. The more we practice it, the less we have to think about it. We’ll learn (or remember) our own natural rhythms, and we’ll learn how to inherently flow with them in order to stay in our groove—for life.

How do I get “Me” Back and Keep my Personal Rhythm?
  • Our first step will be to explore and identify your personal model of ideal health, including specific foods, activities and decision making processes that will work in tandem to get—and keep—you in balance.
  • Your current imbalances will then begin to surface and become identifiable. There will not even be a need to discuss these openly unless you choose to do so—either during the session or in your private consultation with Anna. But they will surface so you can see them and “separate” them from the “you” that flows in balance with life.
  • From there, we will see—and feel—what it’s like to get unstuck, to liberate your Self and your life of the destructive patterns, thoughts and emotions that are killing your natural sparkle, energy and enthusiasm for life.
  • You will come away with a fresh and innate understanding of how to live your life in that rhythmic flow of energy, bliss and balance—regardless of outer circumstances. You will understand freedom and liberation in its truest sense.
 What Will I Experience?
People come to the North Carolina Mountains for that indescribable feeling of connection to something deeper. It happens because nature effortlessly connects with us in ways we can only feel.  She gives us what we need to feel the core of our true selves, stripping away the layers we have built on top of that. Nature helps us dissolve thoughts, distractions, and preconceived notions, and just open ourselves to what comes next.
What comes next will be an exploration of your Self. With nature as our inspiration, we will flow through a series of four “Back in Balance” mini retreats. Experiencing one or more of the sessions will help you plant seeds and create a new awareness. Immersing yourself in all four will give you an innate understanding of how our bodies, minds and spirits work in harmony to create our own worlds. You will start to feel your own personal rhythm and flow.  And the series in total will take you beyond the benefits of the four individual sessions, since you will get a separate private session with Ayurvedic practitioner Anna Russ.
